Mid-Level Advocacy and Non-Partisan Associate

Crossroads Campaigns Solutions (CCS), a DC-based political consulting firm, is currently looking for an Mid-Level Associate to provide communications and project management support to its advocacy and non-partisan clients. The position is located in the Washington DC office.

This staff member will have the opportunity to work with our non-partisan and advocacy clients and to help design programs aimed at increasing voter participation and civic engagement in various ethnic communities across the country. The staff member will help to oversee the implementation of client plans and programming by collaborating with the rest of the CCS team in making sure our client's vision is executed. Additionally, the staff member will be expected to help draft campaign proposals and budgets for prospective advocacy and non-partisan clients based on internal materials and templates.

Job Description:

 

  • Design voter engagement programs for low propensity minority communities that include hard goals and metrics

  • Consult both advocacy and non-partisan groups on recommended ways to execute field plans, to administer volunteer/staff trainings, to recruit to desired capacity and to manage staff within campaign structure

  • Use voter file to analyze data and to provide technical assistance to groups of various sizes and skill levels

  • Work with graphic design team to create printed material for voter registration, canvassing, mail pieces, etc.

  • Potentially take lead on running field program for client

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years of campaign and/or organizing experience

  • Experience overseeing and running a field program

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher 

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Experience using VAN required

  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours

  • Interest in and commitment to progressive politics

  • Previous administrative work a plus
